Yachts charter description |
Following the
enthusiastic reception of the new design Lagoon
410 in 1996, the hiring cat Lagoon 380 was
introduced in the fall of 1999 as a replacement
for the Lagoon 37 model.
The rental Lagoon 380 has successfully blended
the many Lagoon characteristics of quality
construction, a strong sailing pedigree and
contemporary styling, and has offered tremendous
value to its owners.
As a result, the Lagoon 380 S2
became the best selling single model catamaran
ever, with hull number 300 coming off the
production line at the beginning of 2005.
Lagoon catamaran hire has now made a number of
significant changes to the boat in the new cats
Lagoon 380-S2:
- New "parquet" type composite floor design
- Single large dining table and single small
coffee table, interchangeable between cockpit
and main salon locations, or removable with no
table at all for maximum lounging space
- New galley - more counter space, more storage,
warmer wood finish
- New owner’s cabin - fully private starboard
hull, closed off by its own access door, more
room throughout, with the head moved forward
- Panoramic fixed port windows in cabins to add
even more light and an even more open feeling
- Additional seating in the cockpit along the
cockpit/salon bulkhead
- New steering position with larger console for
instrumentation, a double helm seat as standard
- Additional winch on the port side coachroof
for improved halyard and reef management
- New trampoline (without knots) to improve
bare-foot comfort
- Optional hard top bimini for more durable sun
protection, easier access to the outboard end of
the boom and a great solar panel location (to be
confirmed)
With many other additions to the standard
equipment list, the Lagoon 380-S2
offers even more value.
Ingenious and innovative, like all Lagoons, the
cat Lagoon 380S2
is not really the smallest, except for its
length !
