|
The
Sun Odyssey 35 was designed for
Jeanneau by Marc Lombard, and was introduced
in 2003. She has a high-volume
light-displacement hull, matched to a deep
narrow keel with a large trailing ballast bulb
and deep spade rudder (This yacht is the
deeper-keel version).
Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 35 has a fairly large
masthead rig with twin spreaders and a baby
stay. The traveler and mainsheet are handled on
the coach-roof winch, keeping the cockpit clear.
The mainsail has slab reefing with lazy-jacks,
and the genoa is on a roller. On this yacht a
demountable inner forestay is also fitted to
allow use of a storm jib with the genoa furled.
The engine is a Yanmar 27-29 hp inboard diesel,
driving a fixed two-bladed prop on a P-bracket
stern-shaft.
The accommodation starts with a double
fore-cabin, with plenty of locker and changing
space. The saloon has a U-shaped dinette, the
table of which can be extended to port, and
which can also be converted to another double
berth. To port there is a large heads
compartment with separate WC/shower stall, and
to starboard, aft of the L-shaped galley, is a
very large double berth in the aft cabin.
