|
The Sun Odyssey 49DS represents the class
and style of Jeanneau's deck saloon range. In
addition to a classic 3 cabin layout, the Sun
Odyssey 49 DS is available in a 2 cabin
owner's version or in a 4 cabin family cruiser
and can be equipped to meet the needs of any
client. The raised saloon offers a view of the
water when seated through the hull ports while
the sleek fixed windows of the coach roof
provide light and a feeling of openness. On
deck, the wide cockpit is inviting and secure
when underway. The innovative styling of
Vittorrio Garroni is often imitated, but never
equaled.
The Sun Odyssey 49DS features the same
platform as the SOD 49. Her accommodation is
different and partly raised so that you can see
outside from the chart-table and the galley. A
high spacious roof brings in more light and
creates a feeling of space.
The SOD 49DS is a good sailor and she can
outmatch most of the charter boats (older or
newer) of her size in sailing performances. Fast
when sailing in open courses and capable of
upright to a wind-efficient angle against the
wind.
Handling is easy. All sheets, winches and
control panels are brought back to the cockpit
to enable you to keep a perfect lookout to sea
and look after the sails effortlessly. |
